Marybeth has always loved art and was highly regarded for her skills with interior decoration, landscaping and floral design. But her eye for color and form really came to light as she began painting… and her unique and sophisticated style began to emerge.
Her steady growth with her work has brought her to this point where these paintings -- difficult to categorize and each one unique and eye catching -- allow her to fully explore those intuitive artistic decisions.
She has found and developed her technique with oil painting, and through this medium she can fully explore her unique vision and artistic sensibility. The paintings are not entirely representational, but by using color, value and her approach with composition, Marybeth constructs scenes that come to life in a very engaging way.
Marybeth has worked many years in art-related fields, though she eventually developed a career in government and politics. For the past seven years, she has returned to art, and working with art groups in the Washington area and the Delaware shore, has refined her style and love of painting.
